This is a great piece. It is Circa 1880/1890 and is a tape measure in the form of a shoe. The shoe appears to be tin and has an appropriate aged patina. It is very detailed showing a pattern on the shoe and laces on the front. The really great thing about this tape measure is the saying which is in raised letters on the side of the shoe stating, Three Feet In One Shoe. The tape measure comes out and retracts and the entire piece is in great condition showing normal patina to the finish. It measures 1 1/2 inches by 2 1/4 inches. This is a very cute and interesting piece that would make a great addition to a sewing collection.
