This lovely vase is a beautiful example of Art Glass from the Art Nouveau Period. It was produced by Kralik, Circa 1890 and is a very rich deep iridescent amethyst color with an exquisite metal armature. The amethyst color actually shimmers in the light showing contrasts between deep green and red along with the amethyst. The vase has a very naturalistic form with the bottom section having six sections that curve outwards and then taper up to the neck of the vase. The metal armature has a floral design at the top sections and is footed at the base. The vase measures 9 1/2" tall in the armature and 4 1/2" across the widest part of the handles and is in excellent original condition. This vase has been part of my personal collection for many years and is an exceptional example of the fine craftsmanship from and elegant bygone era.
