Weller pottery was founded in 1872 by Samuel Weller. In 1902 the firm hired Jacques Sicard who started the Sicard line of Weller pottery that is the most sought after today. It was in production from 1902 to 1907. This vase is an exceptional example of that design. It is fully signed Weller Sicard on the bottom side of the vase and there markings under glaze on the base with an old sticker, please refer to photos. It measures 4 1/2" tall and 3" across the widest part of the vase. It is bulbous shaped at the bottom and curves inward at the middle. This prime example of Weller Sicard is in excellent original condition.
