Here is a nice vintage tin with a photograph of a street in Canterbury England on the top. In the photo you can see people walking along the street and signs for businesses such as "Wines & Spirits", The Shakespeare", and Lenleys". There is also the beautiful Cathedral in the background. This charming tin originally held English Toffee candy. On one end of the box it reads: "Made in England by Edward Sharp & Sons, Ltd., of Maidstone, Kent. The Toffee Specialists". Also on the end there is a stamped image of the English royal seal and the words: "By Appointment Suppliers of Confectionery to H.M. the King".
The tin measures approximately 7" X 5-3/4" X 1-3/4". It has a hinged top that lifts up. Overall condition is good with no dents and wear to the tin surface as seen in our photographs. The wear to the edges and corners on the top of the tin appear much worse in the magnified photos than in person. Please enlarge them for the best views. Please also ask any questions that you have. Circa 1960's.
