Presenting a wonderful antique book featuring a collection of drawings by Fred Richards. Frederick Charles Richards, painter and art educationalist, studied at the Newport School of Art and the Art School in Bruges. At the age of thirty, with the first art scholarship from Newport Education Authority, he studied at the Royal College of Art specializing in etching. In 1914 he was commissioned by Adam & Charles Black, London, to produce drawings for the Windsor and Eton Sketch-Books.
This is a hardbound book with 24 illustrations. The book is in good condition inside and the cover is in fair condition with wear to the spine and edges. The very first page inside has come loose and has a bookplate signed by the original owner of the book, Clara E. Ramskill.
The book measures approximately 8-7/8" X 6-1/4".
