Presenting a wonderful book for young children. This is a "changing picture" book with tabs to pull down so the image changes on six pages. These pages are color reproductions of antique changing pictures by Ernest Nister. The opposing pages feature black and white drawings and children's poetry.
From Wikipedia: "Ernest Nister (1841-1906) was a publisher and printer of movable books for children and paper ephemera such as greeting cards, post cards, and calendars. He was born in Darmstadt, Germany and later had an office in London. He refined the techniques used in the design of "magic windows," "dissolving picture," and pop-up books, publishing them from his firm based in Nuremberg, a toy-making center of the nineteenth century."
The book has a copyright date of 1985 by Intervisual Communications, Inc., Los Angeles, CA 90045. It has a glossy cover and is in very good condition. All of the pull-down tabs are intact and function well.
A really lovely collectible book for a special child or adult!
