We are pleased to offer a wonderful antique Victorian brooch. We believe it is of Scottish, English or Celtic origin. This beautiful piece is oval in shape and set with hand-cut and hand-set mixed colored agates with beveled edges. They are set on a plaque of matte black stone. The frame is sterling silver and there is a substantial tube and barrel hinge and extended pin in an old "C" clasp.
The brooch is in very good condition, especially considering the age of the piece. We note only a couple of very minor dings or dents to the silver frame
We date this spectacular brooch to the mid to late 1880's.
