Presenting an incredible vintage necklace which is signed: "Original BY Robert" in a painter's palate cartouche on the back of the centerpiece. This fabulous centerpiece of the necklace features hand-wired and hand-set pink, white and clear beads, clear (white), pink, purple and lavender rhinestones on a brass or goldtone fancy filigree finding. The centerpiece is large, measuring approximately 2" in diameter with alternating points and rounded edge segments. Please have a look at the sixth photograph for a view of the back.
The necklace portion of this piece consists of five strands of beads and crystals, each side attaching to the back of the centerpiece. The strands are gathered together and fixed to a fancy filigree brass or goldtone cap. One cap is fitted with a hook closure and the other cap is fitted with a 3" bead and crystal chain. The hook can be placed anywhere along this decorative chain to secure the necklace on the neck. The length of each multi-bead side measures approximately 6-1/2" in length, excluding the hook and adjustable chain.
This necklace is beautifully designed and executed, using very good quality materials. It is in very good condition with only a bit of tarnish noted to the brass components. Circa 1940's - early 1950's based on style of maker's mark. A great find to add to your high-end costume jewelry collection and definitely a statement piece!
