Here is a very nice vintage cut crystal glass lidded jar. The jar is round and flares out slightly at the base. The rim and base both have a pattern all the way around. The dome-shaped lid has a deep cut flower pattern on the top and a pattern around the rim.
The overall height of this piece is approximately 4-3/4". The diameter at the top rim of the base is approximately 2-5/8". The lid to the jar fits nicely on top of the base. The overall condition of this piece is very good and it is quite substantial. We do see/feel a few very small areas of roughness along the edges of the cuts on the lid, but they are not readily seen with the naked eye.
This lovely covered jar could be used in a variety of ways. Some possibilities are jams, chutneys, honey, condiments, candy, etc. It could also be used on a vanity or in a bathroom to hold non-food items such as cotton balls, bath salts, etc.
