Presenting a beautiful vintage necklace featuring large, rich amber glass stones. The centerpiece of this wonderful piece is a very large, faceted, pear-shaped amber glass stone pendant. The pendant stone is housed in a decorative brass setting. Set on top and at the point of the stone is a prong set navette. The pendant component measures approximately 2"H x 1-1/4"W.
The chain portion of the necklace is very decorative. The upper portion consists of fine links with an alternating pattern of rectangles and small loops. The lower portion of the chain is solid rectangular links with an etched design. There is also an additional large amber glass stone oval suspended between both sides of the chain. This stone measures approximately 1-1/8"W x 1"H and is housed in an openwork flower shape setting (see view from the back). Although unmarked, we believe this piece to be of Czech origin.
The necklace measures a total of approximately 24 inches plus the 2" drop described above. The necklace closure is a barrel screw clasp.
This piece was purchased from a fine estate and is in very good condition.
