We are pleased to offer a magnificent brooch by the hard-to-find maker, "H.POMERANTZ". His pieces are considered difficult to find, are quite desirable and of excellent quality.
Herman Pomerantz was born in 1901, and most likely went into business in the 1920s-1930s. Pomerantz designed jewelry until the mid 1950s, though the company continued making jewelry into the 1960s. He died in 1967. He patented several designs during the 1930s and early 1940s. In addition to costume jewelry, Pomerantz also produced unusual metal belts, large, showy buckles made from a variety of materials, and buttons.
This brooch features high quality foil back clear rhinestones of different shapes and sizes. The setting is rhodium plated. All stones are prong set and the construction and condition are excellent.
This is quite a large and substantial piece measuring approximately 3"H x 1-5/8"W. All of the rhinestones have wonderful sparkle and clarity.
