It is rare to find one of these little pots with the glass insert, and this one has it!
This little French Ivory, commonly known as celluloid, pot is round with a screw on lid. It is marked: "IVORY PY-RA-LIN" on the bottom of the base. This material was named by I.E. DuPont circa 1920. The pot was probably used originally for rouge or ointment but could have many uses today on your dresser, night stand or vanity.
The pot measures approximately 1-1/2" in diameter at the base x 7/8"H. The top measures approximately 1-3/4" in diameter and 1-1/8"H with the lid in place. It is in good condition with some darker spots on the lid and a couple of nips around the rim of the glass insert
