We are offering a vintage hardbound book for your consideration. It is: "The HARRISON FISHER BOOK, A COLLECTION OF DRAWINGS IN COLORS AND BLACK AND WHITE, With An Introduction by James B. Carrington." Carrington provides a biographical perspective: "Mr. Harrison Fisher's Place in American Illustration".
Harrison Fisher was an American who was born in Brooklyn New York, and lived from 1877-1934. As has been written: "Fisher's ‘American Girl' was recognized as the epitome of feminine beauty during the first quarter of the twentieth century. She was lithe and elegant, but also athletic, independent, and intelligent."
PLEASE NOTE: The color prints have been removed from the book so what remains are the black and white prints of Fisher's sketches and drawings. Although we are not book experts, we would describe what remains of the book as being in fair condition. The book's cover is soiled and shows wear. Some of the inside pages have names and other marks scrawled on them. These are loose inside the book but generally intact. Most of these would be suitable for framing individually or in collections or groupings.
The book has a Copyright date of 1907 by Charles Scribner's & Sons, N.Y. Each page also has it's own copyright date.
