If you collect antique pin cushions, this is one we have not seen before and it is so great!
This piece is a metal shoe, most likely a man's design but could have been for a woman. The design of the shoe is just wonderful. We believe it dates to the Victorian era. It is a high top style shoe laced half way up with the sides of the shoe falling open. You can see the tongue of the shoe and the rest of the lacing holes on each side.
The pin cushion portion is a padded purple velvet and it appears original to the piece. This charming collectible is a nice large size with good weight. It measures approximately 4"L x 1-1/2"W x 2-1/4"H. There are no maker's mark. Overall condition is very good with the aged patina intact.
