We are offering a wonderful, highly detailed souvenir spoon from the Louisiana Purchase Exposition, circa 1904. The spoon handle features a multi-figure scene and includes images of a steam engine, conestoga wagon, horses and riders, buffalo hunt, etc. The spoon bowl features a beautiful design of "FESTIVAL HALL AND CASCADES". The back of the spoon handle reads: "LOUISIANA PURCHASE EXPOSITION " and "OFFICIAL W.B. Stevens, Secy., ST. LOUIS". The spoon is also marked "STERLING" and has the date of 1904 on the back and "1803" and "1903" on the front.
The teaspoon is marked on the back of the handle near the bowl: "COPYRIGHT 1902 BY BERT BALL" plus an "E" in an L shape or right angle. This spoon measures approximately 5-7/8"L and weighs 27.5 grams or 0.97 ounces. It is in excellent condition and just beautiful!
