We are pleased to offer this sparkling tulip flower brooch by Weiss. It is a good sized piece in silvertone and set with beautiful blue and green faceted round rhinestones.
The Weiss company made high-quality costume jewelry from 1942 until the 1970's. The company was founded in New York City by Albert Weiss, a former employee of the Coro company (the largest costume jewelry manufacturer at the time). Weiss' jewelry was often studded with Austrian rhinestones.
This lovely piece measures approximately 2-5/8" x 2". It is in very good condition and is signed with an early mark "WEISS" preceded by the copyright symbol in a rectangular cartouche. It has a rollover security clasp. The pin has no damage but could use a light cleaning to remove some accumulated dust.
A very striking piece!
