We are pleased to offer a wonderful vintage glass dog figurine. It is a bull dog made by the Westmoreland Glass company. The company's mark, "W" intertwined with "G", is on the chest of the figure. According to Lorraine Kovar in her book, "The Westmoreland Story", the company was founded in 1889 and used this mark after the 1940.
This adorable little pup is made of black amethyst glass in a seated position. It has faceted rhinestone eyes, a painted gold, studded collar, and measures approximately 1-1/2"W x 2-1/2"D x 2-1/2"H. It is in very good condition. From our personal dog collection, found in an antique shop many years ago.
