Here is an interesting old pin featuring a Native American theme. The brooch is made of brass in the shape of two carriers (or could they be snowshoes?) displayed end-to-end, creating an elongated look. Attached on top is a very nicely detailed brass Indian maiden head on the left and a teepee in the center. On the right side is a prong set striated glass stone.
This unusual pin measures approximately 2-5/8" in length X 7/8" in the center where the tent is. It is fitted with an old "C" clasp. It is in very good condition overall with the exception the stone is cracked. This is as we found the piece and not readily noticed when worn as the two pieces are secure in their setting. Priced with this condition issue in mind. Circa 1920's - 1930's, possibly earlier.
