What a lovely antique sterling silver spoon! It was made by the Howard Sterling Company of Providence, Rhode Island, circa 1878-1902. This pretty teaspoon is in the Queen pattern and features a queen's crown at the end of the handle. It also has a gold wash bowl. It is monogrammed "May" on the handle, which could have been the woman's name or it could signify the month of May.
The back of the spoon handle is marked with a four leaf clover, which is the maker's mark for Howard Sterling Co. It is also signed "STERLING" and "Pat. 1893".
Very nice condition and measuring approximately 6" and weighing 20.5 grams.
