We are pleased to offer this wonderful antique brooch from the Art Nouveau era. It features the side view of a lovely female figure, depicted from the bust up. It is a cameo of sorts. She is wearing an off shoulder gown or drape and her hair is flowing in loose tendrils down the back of her neck. There is a lot of nice detail in the figure. Off to the side is the artist's signature which we cannot read. On the left edge of the round brooch there is what looks like a little branch of a plant.
The brooch has a tube and barrel hinge with a simple C-clasp to hold the pin. There is also a mark on the "C" which we cannot read. The metal is gold vermeil, or gold over silver. The brooch measures approximately 1" in diameter and is in very good condition.
