This fabulous figural piece depicts a carved, Asian man holding a staff and surrounded by an arch of multi-colored rhinestones. Although unsigned, this brooch was absolutely made by Hobe in the 1940s as exemplified by the filigree work, the bezel settings of the rhinestones and the mounting of the figural piece.
The brooch measures 2-3/8 inches in height and 1-3/8 inches in width and is in excellent vintage condition with all stones present and clear and with the carved figure free from chips and still retaining the details on its face and clothing.
