I am a big fan of Vogue pieces from the 1940s and this piece illustrates why. It is huge and lovely and features extraordinary over-sized crystal rhinestones that look like real citrines. The stones create the petals of the flowers and are set open backed to allow the maximum amount of light to shine through. The largest stone is emerald cut and has the appearance of the real thing. It is simply beautiful as many of these hard to find Vogue creations tend to be.
The brooch measures 4-1/4 inches in height and 3 inches in width. It is in very good vintage condition, with the stones sparkling but with some wear to the metal but most notably on the back. It is signed "Vogue" and "Sterling" on the back.
