This large brooch has a lot going for it - large, bright colored rhinestones in a dogtooth setting; bendable silvertone leaves that can be moved to add even more dimension; and a huge, crackle glass stone in its center. All these features make for a unique and eye-catching piece. Some people have told me this brooch is made by Countess Cis, others have attributed it to Schreiner. It's unmarked, and the maker is still a mystery, yet it is an exceptionally lovely piece.
The brooch measures 3 inches in width and 2-1/2 inches in height. It is in good vintage condition with all stones present and with the clasp working well. There is wear to the metal on the back of the brooch and some wear to the gold foil tips on the back of the rhinestones.
