Here is a beautiful doll made for the French market. The head was made by Simon & Halbig, mold 1078. It is on a French body with a keywind walking mechanism by Roullet & Decamps.
The head has beautiful bisque with a very minor rub on the cheek. No hairlines or breaks. She has brown flirty eyes in excellent working order with the original mohair eyelashes. The body retains its original finish and is in very good condition. There is chipping at the hands, so typical of this era French body. She has straight legs attached with a mechanism and hidden behind her leather 'britches'. The leather is quite worn, but it appears to be the original. When you wind the RD key she walks and there is a crier in her body that says 'Wah Wah', or 'Ma Ma'. That all works well and if you are interested in her I can send you the video clip.
This lovely girl has her original cardboard pate and human hair wig. Her underwear may be original. She has French leather shoes that seem to also be original. There is a tear down the back of one that needs reinforcement and one ribbon is missing. I am unsure of the age of her dress which is made of antique lace with a silk ribbon. The socks are newer.
She is 25" tall and makes one fabulous presentation!
