This little lady has been with me for quite a while after buying her and many other dolls from the estate of woman whose husband had been a US diplomat. She collected dolls on all of her travels, although I believe this was made in the USA. She stands about 15" tall. Her body is all cloth, except for the hands which are leather with individual fingers stitched in. Her face is oil painted with a charming smile. I love the details of her sparkling eyes and those curly ears. She has a wild mass of mohair on her head. Her clothing is all original and well crafted. She wears underclothes, wool stockings and leather boots. Her hat has some silk that is a bit torn from age, but otherwise she is in fantastic condition. She won a second place ribbon at the 2007 UFDC antique competition in her category, reminding us that the top doll judges in the country feel she is special as well. I know that she was in this woman's collection for years and then stored for many years after her passing before she came to me. She has a delightful personality and will be a charming addition to your collection.
