This beautiful "lipstick" shaped gold perfume at one time most likely hung from a French evening chatelaine. The gold pattern work is just stunning with great attention to fine detail through out. The pattern is all raised from the smooth background surface giving the motif a lovely dimensional feel.

The gold is in excellent minus condition with no rips, holes, deep scratches or repairs. The top rim on the lid has a shallow dent which gives a light flatness approximately 3/32 inches long to the rim (see photos # 2 & 5). The hinge is all original and in smooth working order. The lid closes firmly with a good click and stays closed. The backside of the bottle has the ring for hanging from a chatelaine and there is a glass interior stopper that fits firmly.

You can find the French Eagle Mark for 18 kt gold on both the top and bottom portions of the hinge. The perfume measures 2 3/8 inches tall with a 9/16 diameter. A truly beautiful gold perfume for that scent bottle collection with limited space
