This Victorian style vintage bracelet is very nicely built from cast parts and made with a lot of patterns. The front focal point is comprised of open work areas and approx. five levels of pattern work. There are three different running horizontal designs and a center of five circular mounts with leaf accents containing four turquoise beads and a cultured pearl. The backside of the bracelet contains four long rectangular open areas while the side rims are cast illusions of a hand engraved running leaf pattern.
The gold is in excellent condition with no rips, dents, cracks, holes, scratches, abrasions, missing pattern pieces or repairs. Close to the hinge you see what appears to be a minute bite in the surface. Viewing with a loupe it is a casting flaw of a pit in the gold. The clasp and figure 8 security catch both have a nice soft click when closing and stay closed. Upon inspection you do see unevenness to areas of the casting as well as some fine accent lines missing. Remember this is a cast and hand assembled bracelet mimicking a fully hand crafted Victorian. The side rim running leaf pattern is nicely done with a lot of depth. The approx. 2mm turquoise beads and approx. 3mm cultured pearl have no cracks or chips and are secure in their prongs.
On the backside of the clasp box you will find the makers mark "SB" and the "14K" gold purity mark. The backside top width of the bracelet measures 3/16" while the front side width graduates from 3/16" up to approx. 5/8" at center and stands 1/2" at tallest point (the pearl). The interior oval has a 6 3/8" circumference. The bracelet is hinged, having a nice spread when opened and weighs 21 grams.
