This Victorian bangle is in super condition. That lovely curlicue pattern is comprised of a raised relief that measures a hair less then a 1/32" high. The exterior top portion of the bangle and the recessed areas in the curlicues have a satin/mat finish. The raised portion of the pattern has a polished finish. The little balls at the end of the curlicues still have a softly rounded top so the detail work is showing no wear.
The gold is in excellent condition with no rips, dents, cracks, holes, deep scratches, nasty abrasions or repairs. The pattern is very even in it's height all around the bangle. To be completely accurate I am reporting two very minor flaws on the bangle. A minute 1/32" indentation located on the curved rim where the interior meets the side. Also on the curved interior at the widest points of the bangle there is a slight flatness to the curve's surface from a hand being pressed thru the bangle. Both these minor flaws are very hard to notice and don't show in the photos.
The interior of the bangle has a raised triangle that I am assuming contained a makers and/or gold purity mark on it's surface that has worn away. The bangle weighs 13 grams and Rich has acid tested and will guarantee a minimum of 14kt. gold. This is a true bangle, no hinged opening, so you must be able to slide your hand thru. The interior is very much an oval shape and measures approx. 2 1/2" wide x 1 15/16" tall with a top design width of 1/4". If in doubt it helps to measure a few of your existing bangles.
