This super Retro era brooch incorporates the bold design style that Eisenberg is known for. It's wonderful size with seven high and well rounded leaves accented with rhinestones and glass citrine gems makes a definite statement. Eisenberg jewelry is still very much desired today due to its high quality and it's stunning, elegant and imaginative designs. They were know for their use of quality materials ranging from shimmering rhinestones to glass gems and simulated pearls as well as a variety of metals. They used silver and gold plated metals, white base metal and sterling during WWII.

The sterling is in excellent condition with no cracks, rips, holes, dents or repairs. The pin hinge, pin sticks and double C clasp are all the originals with the pin sticks having good points. The pins sticks have curves from usage and wobble in their tubular attachments, which appear to be original to the brooch. The gold plate is in excellent condition. It is very even toned and bright without being gaudy. It does have some slight loss at the curved rhinestone area located next to the pin hinge. The owner's thumb would have been at this area when inserting the brooch into the coat or fur.

The rhinestones are all there but some are obvious (due to size) replacements done over the years as can be very common. With a 10 power loupe inspection you can see some rhinestones with abrasions on their surface that I am reporting to be accurate. The citrines are all there, appear original and are firm in their prongs. With the exception of one diamond shaped stone they are free of cracks, chips, nasty scratches and ugly abrasions. Using photo # 4 for reference the stone at 1 o'clock has an approx. 1/32" nick which has caused some small interior bruising. The citrines are clear, bright and very well matched in color.

The marks are on the backside of the brooch. There is a STERLING on the back of a leaf, a STERLING on the pin hinge and the Eisenberg Original is next to the double C clasp. The brooch measures 2 3/4" tall x 2 5/16" at widest point x approx. 11/16" at deepest point.
