This circa 1910 watch pin is in superb condition. It is comprised of yellow gold with a wonderful top decorative notched rim thru out it's swirls and curlicues. The figural heart is a high polished moonstone cabochon with the pin being accented with small, natural, off-round fresh water pearls.
The gold is in excellent condition with no cracks, dents, rips, holes, deep scratches, abrasions or repairs. You do find a few unobtrusive rub spots on the gold where it was tested. The pin hinge, pin stick, locking C clasp and watch stem are all the originals in smooth working order. The pin stick is fairly straight and has a good point. The cabochon has no cracks, chips, deep scratches or nasty abrasions. It's top surface has a lovely high polish and a graceful curved shape. Holding the pin at the right angle and light with a 10 power loupe you do see a few tiny surface only scratches. But I can't see them with only my eyes. The pearls average 2mm in size and are well matched in a lovely off white color. They are prong and glue mounted and appear to be the originals. They have no value other then as accent to the pin.
The 14K mark is on the side of the watch stem - note black arrow, last photo, left top insert. The pin measures 1 1/8" long x 13/16" tall.
