This Victorian bracelet has a lovely hand engraved curlicue pattern done in the standard paisley swirling curl. It covers the entire front and back halves of the bracelet. With it's small oval size it's a great fit for that petite woman or young teen.
The gold is in good condition with no cracks, holes or rips. The closure has a loud click and stays firmly closed. There is a stationary security chain. The tongue is lightly misaligned with the closure insert and the oval is slightly out of round as often happens from use. It appears the hinge area has possibly had a repair done with white gold or silver solder . The bracelet has a curved top surface and a somewhat flat interior being hollow in the center. The top on both the front and back of the bracelet have flat areas to the curve as seen in the last two photos. They both measure approx. 7/8" long but one is more shallow then the other. The interior has uneven surface, some indent lines and dimples that are not seen when worn. But with the bracelets two flat surface spots it is perfect for that woman with a very active life style who want's a bracelet to wear during her activities. It's also a great bracelet for an active young teen who wants her first piece of antique jewelry.
There are no gold purity marks so Rich has acid tested and will guarantee a minimum of 14kt.. The interior oval measures 2 1/4" wide x 1 9/16" tall and the bracelet weighs 11.7 grams.
