Georg Jensen Sterling Floral Bracelet # 36 - Circa 1934-44
This Jensen bracelet is one of my absolute favorites. I love the extremely well defined blooming flower in all of it's glory. Jensen was very successful in depicting nature in so many of his designs and this ultra feminine bracelet is a super example. It's only links are those beautiful well defined flowers with their small accent lines thru out every petal. In the center is a collar holding a sterling cabochon or ball surrounded by tiny balls cast into the link that represent stamen. Separating the floral links are oval connector rings. The clasp box is also a matching flower continuing the link pattern.
The sterling is in excellent condition with no rips, dents, holes, cracks, nasty scratches or repairs. All of the sterling cabochon/balls are with out cracks, dents, holes, nasty scratches and are firm in their collars. With the right angle, light or a loupe you can find some faint surface scuffing to their center tops as expected from usage. They all appear to be the originals as I see no disruption to their collars. The oval connector rings between links all are the originals. The sterling links have a very faint curve to their backside assisting in the bracelet having a comfortable fit on your wrist. The flange fit's in it's box with a light thud and stays firm in it's closure. The bracelet has it's original figure 8 security clasp.
The marks are on the backside of the closure box as seen in the photo. They are the G inside the J rectangle, Sterling, Denmark, 925 (explanation for sterling) and 36 (design/model number). The bracelet measures 7 1/4" long minus the closure flange and is 13/16" at it's widest point.
