This great Andersen set was designed by Karl Jorgen Otteren. It's modernism design popular during the 60's is again popular today. As you can see it's comprised of squares and rectangles of different sizes. Some are openwork and some are solidly backed for filling with enamel in the champleve style. The poured in enamel is done in three shades of green, a light and medium seafoam and a kelly. Photo # 3 is the pin position and photo # 4 is the pendent position of the piece.
The sterling is in excellent plus condition with no rips, dents, holes, cracks, missing pieces or repairs. The pin hinge, pin stick, locking clasp and pendent bale (photo 8-B) are all original in smooth working order. The pin has a slight curve and a good point. The earrings are clip on. Their spring movement is in working order and closes with a light click. On my ears they were firmly in place but not painful. The enamel is in excellent minus condition. The largest rectangle in the pin/pendent has 2 flake shaped chips together that measure approx. 3/16" long x a bit over 1/32" wide (see photo # 7). There is also a flea bite on one of the small squares of an earring that I couldn't see till I used my loupe.
There are proper marks on both the pin/pendent # 8-A and the earrings 8-C. In the pin position it measures 1 3/4 tall x 1 15/16" wide. The earrings are curved in a half loop as you can see in the photos. Measuring them in a straight line they are 5/16" tall x 7/16" at widest point. They are very hard to find, much more so than the pin.
