These fabulous earrings make a great statement with their design and size. You have several different sizes of marquise and baguette cut diamonds thru out the earrings. The prong mounted marquise shapes are the leaves and the channel mounted baguettes are the curved stem that holds the 9mm (3/8") spike mounted cultured pearl flower. Adding to the super design is the bottom portion of the diamond stem containing five leaves that is located at the base of the pearl is en tremblant. En tremblant is a French term that means to tremble. These earrings are such an amazing feat of design that they contain a multitude of hand craftsmanship and assembly.

The gold is in excellent condition with no rips, cracks, broken parts or obvious repairs. Due to the astounding amount of hand made parts and assembly it is impossible to state no repairs. Due to all of the hand work if you place the earrings side by side on a table you do see subtle differences in leaf placement as these earrings are not comprised of cookie cutter cast mountings. They are for pierced ears and have what I would call a very early form of a lever-back. The earring post fits thru an open center of a circular clip (see photos). The hinges on both clips are in working order with nice spring.

All of the diamonds are there and appear to be the originals. They are well matched in color with a good brightness and sparkle. No nasty gray or yellow color or cloudy look! They have a total weight of 3cts. The cultured pearls are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, nasty scratches or abrasions. Both pearls appear to be original to the earrings and are a nicely matched ivory color. One pearl has a 2/32" x 3/32" circular disruption to its nacre (surface) - see photo # 5. My guess is the pearl got sprayed with perfume or hairspray during a touch up of the owners appearance. As you can see from the red arrow the spot is next to the stem just above the en tremblant joint. It is on a somewhat under curve of the pearl and with it's placement is not visible unless you do an all over inspection. When wearing the earrings it will not be seen.

The earrings have no gold content marks so Rich acid tested and will guarantee a minimum of 14kt. gold. There is a mark on one of the circular clips that appears to read 503 (it is definitely not 585) - it is probably a part number for the clip. The earrings measure approx. 1 1/2" long x 15/16" at widest point. They look best on as shown in the 1st photo but depending on the shape of your face they will fit as seen in the last photo A truly superb pair of vintage cocktail earrings that would look stunning with your diamond enhancer pearl necklace.
