This vintage bracelet has a great overall look. The design on the top of the links is a quality done classic Victorian style of flowing leaves and soft curls. The links are then assembled with an alternating open center or the center filled with a collar based, prong mounted, faceted oval citrine. All of the links then have the curl design accented with a teal / peacock blue enamel to high light that center area.
The gold is in excellent condition with no rips, cracks, holes, dents, scratches, abrasions or repairs. The links are hollow and have flat un-patterned backsides. The pattern definition is excellent with well rounded curves, good height and nice depth on the indent lines. The four citrines have been done with the classic oval cut done thru out the years. They have no chips, cracks or nasty scratches and measure approx 7/16" long x 3/16" wide at their center. They are an excellent color match and are firmly seated in their original prongs. The closure is a spring ring that is in good working order.
The enamel is in excellent minus condition with 14 of the 16 curves being with out cracks, chips or repairs. One curve has what I believe to be an original workmaster repair fill from something going wrong during a stage of the bracelet's manufacture. I believe this as the fill is an exact color match, and I mean exact, to the rest of the curve. The other curve is just a makers flaw. The enamel brush evidently had a bit of aqua enamel on it and the color ended up as a 1/32" spot and some faint underline to the curved teal accent. Both of these curves are shown in the bottom of the last photo. As these curves are only an approx. 1/4" long x 1/16" wide you don't really notice these flaws unless you do a close inspection like we do. But I am reporting them to be accurate.
The gold content mark is on the small closure ring and is a 585 inside a rectangle (European for 14kt. gold). There is another mark that to my eye is not complete due to the narrow ring. It should be either a makers mark or a county of origin assay mark. The bracelet measures just a hair under 8" long x 9/16" at widest point of the links.
