This Jensen necklace is absolutely stunning. The necklace is comprised of three different links with two combining to make a floral motif. Within the links you will find both round and oval synthetic blue sapphire cabochon gemstones. The focal point of the floral motif is a link comprised of two different heights of small rounded bead like shapes with a collar mounted syn. sapphire cabochon at a high point in its center as the stamen. On each side of the focal point is a link comprised of two leaves with light definition lines and soft hand hammered surface that frame a collar mounted oval cabochon representing a bud. Connecting these floral motifs is a small link somewhat like a figure 8 with a ball like center. Connecting all the links is Jensen's standard oval connector rings of different lengths allowing the necklace to lay smoothly against your body.

The sterling is in excellent condition with no rips, dents, holes, cracks, scratches, abrasions or repairs. All of the connector rings appear to be the originals. The necklace has its original toggle style closure, which was a commonly used closure during the earlier years. The pattern definition on the links is excellent with even visibility to their patterns. The synthetic cabochons are also in excellent condition with all appearing to be the originals. None of the stones have nicks, chips, cracks, scratches or nasty surface abrasions and are well matched in color. I did find one with a smaller then 1/32" flea bite when inspecting with a loupe. According to the Drucker book on Jensen, synthetic sapphires were the most expensive stones in use in the jewelry before WWII. Being synthetic they do have a darker coloration but when shown in the right light and angle you can definitely tell they are blue (see photo # 4).

The marks are located on the back of the center necklace link. The 925 is the sterling content mark. The rectangle in the middle is the G inside the J mark used approx. 1933-1944. Both the flower link and leaf link are approximately 5/8 wide with the necklace measuring 16 inches This necklace is absolutely fabulous and will surely become a prized piece for it's new owner.
