This 20's necklace had a lot of thought put into it's design. It is primarily white gold but has applied yellow gold floral swags on the pendent and at the chain connection to the bale is a rose gold flower and yellow and white gold leaves. The pendent, bale and two oval disks in the chain are all filigree with a multitude of mil-grained rim decoration. The pendent has two collar mounted faceted synthetic blue sapphires and a prong mounted small diamond in the center. On either side of both of the chain's oval filigree disks there are what appear to be two natural tiny seed pearls. The pearls have no value other then decoration to the chain.
The gold is in excellent condition with no rips, dents, holes, cracks, nasty scratches, abrasions or repairs. I have viewed the filigree with a 10 power loupe and find no missing portions to the open work pattern. The clasp fits firm in it's closure and is in smooth working order. The synthetic sapphires have no cracks or chips. The diamond has nice sparkle and color. The tiny seed pearls on the chain are intact and a light silver gray in color as is common.
There are two marks on the backside chain connector - "14K" and a triangle cartouche with a blurry interior that would be the makers mark. The clasp of the chain has marks of "14 KT"; a diamond cartouche with a W in it's interior and also "PA'T 1257158" which is a 1918 pat. number. The filigree pendent portion measures 1 1/8" tall x 3/4" at widest point. From the top of the rose gold flower to the base of the pendent is approx. 1 3/4" tall. The chain measures 15 3/4" long. A great filigree necklace with a wide variety of design components at a friendly price.
