This onyx bracelet is a wonderful 20's bracelet, feminine but also having a tailored look. The main focal points are three mountings, two square and one cut corner rectangle. They all have mil-grained rims with the rectangle also having an angled pattern exterior frame. They hold high polished flat onyx cabochons with diamond shaped mounts containing tiny diamonds for a bit of sparkling accent. The balance of the links are a slight rectangle shape with a super floral open work pattern containing mil-grained rims. The exterior border of the pattern is comprised of four equally shaped scallops with mil-graining and minute raised dots. Even the side rim of the links have a pattern. Just a very nice thought out complete design.
The onyx cabochons are in excellent condition with no cracks, holes, chips, deep scratches or nasty abrasions. The cabochons and their center accents are all firmly seated in place. The gold is also excellent with no rips, dents, holes, or repairs noted. The openwork was inspected with a 10 power loupe and there are no missing pieces to the patterns. Each link is attached to it's neighbor by a hinge. All of the hinges appear to be original and are in working order. The clasp closes with a soft click and stays closed when the bracelet is shaken.
The 14k/makers mark is on the clasp box as seen in the photos. The bracelet measures 7" long (minus closure flange) x 7/16" wide. A lovely filigree bracelet from the 20's that is suitable for work or play.
