This delightful yellow gold pin is in the shape of a tied fabric bow and is decorated with the Krementz signature enamel Forget-Me-Not flowers. Note the outstanding curves and curls to the bow that give it it's realistic and dimensional look. Besides those wonderful petite flowers the bow has a well defined pit textured surface and a minute un-patterned rim that definitely assists in giving it it's fabric illusion. Just an all over well designed gold pin as was expected from Krementz during this time period.
The gold is in excellent plus condition with no rips, dents, holes, cracks, nasty scratches, abrasions or repairs. The watch hook, pin hinge, pin stick and C clasp are all the originals in smooth working order. The pin stick has a hint of a wave with a good point. The watch hook is cleverly assembled slanted to the side so it is hid by the bow when wearing just as a regular pin.
The blue and white opaque enamel is all original with no restoration. The pin contains 26 five petal flowers and 2 four petal flowers for a total of 138 petals that measure just a hair under 1/32" each. The center of all of the flowers is gold not enamel. Using a 10 power loupe and inspecting several times I found only 3 1/2 petals missing enamel and the 3 full petals were so clean they may never had had that dab of enamel to begin with.
The marks are on the C clasp and are the Krementz hallmark and a 14K for gold content. The pin measures 1 1/8" at the widest point x 9/16" at the tallest point. An extremely well detailed feminine pin in outstanding condition for any age.
