I love the glass on this bottle. It is a nice quality with such high polish it has that shimmer that is found in the white portion of an opal gem. It's design is comprised of a beautiful extending ray like pattern of hand cut ridges. I over exposed photo #8 to try to give you a better look of the pattern cut & depth. The glass is in excellent minus condition. It has no cracks, deep scratches or repairs. I did find where the silver top fits against the glass some flake shaped chips (largest is 1/16"). We believe them to be original to cutting as if they were damage from dropping you would also find chips on the body and you don't! Those beautiful ridge lines & rounded sides are all intact. In fact with intense inspection of the body with a 10 power loop I found less then expected, smaller then 1/64", flea bites. With the loop you can find oops spots & abrasion/pit like spots from the hand cutting/finishing by the craftsman. These are minute in size & normal in hand cut glass of this size of work. The silver top is original to bottle. There is a French touch mark that is so tiny & faint I can't read it. There is also a makers cartouche. We guarantee the top to be a minimum of 800 silver. The silver has no rips or missing pieces & appears to be without repair. The internal stopper maybe the original. If it is not it is a very old replacement! From the base of the glass to the top of the cap is 1 7/8". From the base of the glass to the top of the silver hanging mount is 2 1/2". The body of the glass is approx 1 1/2" in dia. and is approx 3/8" deep. A beautiful example of opaline glass in a truly antique scent bottle at a great price.
