This delightful ring is all original and in wonderful condition. It was definitely a prized piece of jewelry. The gold is a true rose gold with a lovely warm and rich tone. There are no cracks, rips, dents, holes, nasty scratches or abrasions. The prongs and shank are all the originals. One prong may have had it's tip beefed up but if so it was done with a superb color match. The shank is just a hair out of round on one bottom side. The interior of the shank has remains of presentation with the date of 1896 still very readable. The top of the ring contains two rows of gemstones that all appear to be the originals. There is a row of 5 European cut diamonds that are a minimum of a .25ct. total in weight. The second row contains 5 Rubies that are a lovely, rich raspberry color and are extremely well matched. There are no gold marks but Rich has acid tested and will guarantee a minimum of 14kt. The ring measures a 6 1/2 on my size pole with the top decor being 1/2" long x 3/16" wide. A lovely, true Victorian ring in outstanding condition.
