I really like these cameos as their subtle MOP shimmer combines with the marcasites and hand engraved accents in the links to give the bracelet a very finished, total look. Each cameo is a different chariot scene with the carving in the darker color and the background the standard off white. The cameos have then been prong mounted into links with curved rims and leaf motif corners accented with tiny prong mounted marcasites and hand engraving. I think this version is so much prettier then the commonly found shell one.
The silver is in excellent plus condition with no cracks, dents, holes, missing pieces, scratches, abrasions or repairs. Even all the rings connecting the links look to be the originals. The hand engraved accents are also excellent plus being well defined. All of the prongs are there and also look to be the originals. The bracelet closes with a loud click and stays firmly closed. It has it's original figure eight security clasp in working order. Each link has 10 marcasites. There are no missing marcasites, all appear to be the originals with one being cracked.
The MOP cameos are also excellent plus and have been viewed with a 10 power loupe. We found no cracks, chips, nicks, scratches, abrasions, missing pieces or repairs. They are mounted into the links with 4 prongs on the front as well as 4 prongs on the backside. All of the cameos are firmly seated. This bracelet was either worn just for special occasions or very well taken care of!
The only mark is the silver content mark of 800 located on the closure flange. The bracelet measures 7 1/4" long x just a hair under 3/4" wide. The cameo plaques are very noticeable being 5/8" long x 7/16" tall. A lovely bracelet in outstanding condition that will look great at any hour of the day.
