This perfume bottle is part of 5 matching pieces of a circa 1925 travel set. The enamel lid is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. It has a lovely hand painted 1" in dia. scene of remarkable quality. Note the fine detail of windows in the buildings & people on the boat! Please excuse the glassy look reflection. I could not get a photo without it due to the curve of the lid. We were astounded to find on this quality enamel work that the metal is silver plated. The lid is a screw on. The metal is intact with no rips, tears, repairs & threads are in working order on both lid & bottle neck. The plating is in excellent plus condition. It does show expected wear on the threads of pieces. The molded glass stopper appears to be original & fits well with no rocking. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs. The glass perfume bottle is mold blown & hand finished on all exterior surfaces with graceful sloping shoulders & beveled edges. It has been decorated on all four sides with 2 vertical lined stripes. The bottle's glass is clear & clean with just a touch of old lotion? visible at bottom 4 corners when looking at bottles base. The glass has no cracks, scratches or repairs. I did find a flake shaped 1/32+" chip on bottle's base next to edge (see photo # 4). There is of course a few normal 1/64" & smaller flea bites from use. The mark of: "Germany Silverplate" is at top of bottles neck. The mark shown in this listing is from one of the boxes as it was larger & well formed so it photographed better. The bottle is 4 1/8" tall x a 1 1/16" sq. base. A lovely bottle for a perfume collector or an enamel enthusiast on a budget.
