This baby spoon is very cute with a nicely accented design of Mary walking her lamb through the trees and carrying her basket for collecting flowers or berries. Through the lower portion of the handle you find a raised outer frame and lettering giving us the title of our spoon as well as a flower and leaf bottom design. The backside of the handle is un-patterned sterling with a large space for presentation. It has been engraved in a nice flowing script and reads "Richie 34". The fork has no rips, dents, holes, deep scratches, abrasions or repairs. On the plain, un-patterned surfaces of the fork you find the normal faint surface only scratches from use and old style cleaners. The tines are well shaped and aligned with their nice original blunt ends with no nasty spots to hurt a baby's mouth. The fork measures 3 7/8" long with the design motif containing "Mary" being 7/8" tall by 9/16" at widest point. Out there in the baby item collectable world there may be a spoon, knife and pusher that went with our girl, but I don't believe them to be "Mary". I think you will find them to be different nursery rhymes placed within the same outer design frames.
