Unger Bros. Sterling Napkin Ring - Circa 1900Unger Bros. Sterling Napkin Ring - Circa 1900Unger Bros. Sterling Napkin Ring - Circa 1900

This Unger napkin ring has a lovely top and bottom border. The rims contain small irregular shaped and spaced scallops due to the floral motif patterned borders. The pattern is comprised of flowing curled leaves with occasional buds and five petal flowers. The pattern has excellent definition as well as nice depth and dimension. The center portion of the ring has been done with a faintly convex curve and left un-patterned to allow for presentation. The front contains a name of "Nelson Joe or Goe" in a very nice script. The ring is in excellent condition and has great shape being within 1/16" of perfect roundness-it was used but not abused. You will find as can be expected an occasional bit of uneven surface from faint indentations as well as faint surface scratching from use and old style cleaners. But there are no cracks, holes, rips, deep scratches, nasty dents or repairs. The marks are on the exterior and can be seen in the insert on photo #3. The ring is good and sturdy - weighing 1.19 ozs. It measures 1 5/8" at it's tallest point with a 1 5/8" diameter.
