Silver, Enamel Knitting Needle Guards - C. 1920Silver, Enamel Knitting Needle Guards - C. 1920Silver, Enamel Knitting Needle Guards - C. 1920

These knitting needle guards have a guilloche pattern consisting of a multitude of running wavy lines. The pattern has been covered with a very attractive light slate blue translucent enamel.

The enamel is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, nasty scratches, ugly abrasions or repairs. The silver is in excellent minus condition with no rips, holes, nasty scratches, ugly abrasions or repairs. The last photo shows red arrows pointing to an approximate 1/16 inch dimple as well as one side rim with a bit of uneven surface at the base area of the side seam.

The needle guard contains no silver mark so Rich has acid tested and will guarantee a minimum of 800 silver. The actual needle guard measures 1 3/8 inches long by 1/2 inch wide. The insertion area for your knitting needle is approximately 1 1/8 inches long with a 3/16 inch diameter hole. A wonderful gift for that mother or grandmother who knits.
