This dauber style Fry/De Vilbiss bottle is hard to find. It has it's original top w/glass dauber intact. It's gold plate is almost totally even in color. It has a slight loss at acorn's (for want of a better word) circular rim & bottom rim that fits against bottle. There is also a minuscule 1/4" gray line on a curve. This all is soooo minor! It's beautiful pale amber bottle is wheel cut in a floral motif. The base is a vivid cobalt blue. Stunning combination w/lovely decor! The glass is free of cracks, chips, restoration & fog. After looking real hard I did find a 1/16" light surface scratch in amber. When held to light at just the right angle I found a very faint, long interior scratch (finger nail would not drag) probably made from dauber. The cobalt base has a polished pontil. This was so very well taken care of! It is unsigned Fry as was common. It held a paper label for De Vilbiss at one time. Bottle is a total of 6 5/8" tall w/a 2 1/2" dia base (glass is 4 5/8" tall to metal). Circa 1925. I do have the same shape/decorated atomizer for sale in a darker amber (depended on the day & glass artist for color depth) -Item #191. Please read ABOUT US & TERMS OF SALE.
