I'm a push over for these aurora borealis hand painted silhouette cufflinks. The engine turned pattern is rays of fine lines beginning in the center and covered in translucent shades of pink and blue on all four sides. Each cufflink has a black hand painted scene - an elk on one side and a Viking Ship on the other. The enamel has no chips, cracks, nasty scratches/abrasions or repairs. With a 10 power loupe you can find a bit of occasional fine lined surface only scratch. The links were gently worn and never abused. The sterling is vermeil, a form of gold plate that is in a fairly even toned condition. The interior bar has the marks. Norway with the 925 S circle on one side and Sterling with the D A Scale circle on the other side. The 925 S Circle started in approx. 1925 hence our Post 1925 dating. The oval face is 15/16" long x 7/16" tall.
