This was not an expensive item in its day--probably a souvenir of Naples in the mid- to late 19th century. It is marked 0.800 right beneath the tongue of the clasp, but you need a microscope (or an Iphone) to see it. It is for a small wrist: 6 and 1/2 by 7/8 inches. The silver was once gilded and the gold wash is almost gone. The clasp works fine, the fittings are secure, it even has what looks to be the original safety chain. The coral is so brightly polished it looks like glass; the color is light salmon hue rather than bright orange. It would be lovely on a delicate wrist.
