This is a stunning and large brooch circa the 1940s by Kreisler, reknown for fine quality costume jewelry, including sterling silver. This piece is sterling silver plated with pink, yellow, and white gold but is marked only Kreisler on the pin stem. It is in excellent like-new condition, measures 4 by 2 & 1/2 inches, is not ruby but cranberry red glass. It has the pinkish hue. All the stones are nice, but the large pate de verre cranberry glass flower is the show stopper. Several top quality manufacturers of the 1940s used this glass element, including Haskell in green, blue, and mottled turquoise.
